31% increase in cosmetic surgery

According to recent research carried out by The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), over the course of this past year, there has been a 31% increase in cosmetic surgery – and this is set to rise. Procedures such as liposuction are up by 90%, while enhancement for face, eye and brow lifts have increased by 50%. BAAPs president Douglas McGeorge said: “These fi gures refl ect a growing acceptance of aesthetic surgery.”
